Meadowsweet Tincture. Filipendula Ulmaria. 1:4. 100ml

The main active ingredient salicylic acid (same as Willow bark) was isolated in 1860 and later used to develop aspirin. Meadowsweet has the added benefit of having anti-ulcer properties which can be a side effect of high levels of aspirin making it a great herbal alternative.
It has also been traditionally useful for gastric problems and inflammatory conditions like arthritis. Also used for acid indigestion, headache, colds, flu, fever reduction and can be gargled as an effective toothache remedy.
