Note....Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) is closely related to wormwood (Artemisia absinthium), however for parasites please find our artemisia absinthium or parasite cleanse tinctures.
Mugwort has long been valued for digestion and women's health. It has been used for thousands of years, particularly in traditional Chinese medicine and Native American medicine and spiritual ceremonies. The Greeks and Romans also valued mugwort, and it continued to be used to a certain extent throughout Europe.
Besides its health properties, mugwort was also used for lucid dreams, and to ward off evil spirits. It was used to help witches 'fly'
It goes by many other names, including cronewort, common wormwood, felon herb, Artemis herb, and chrysanthemum weed.
Also note in may stimulate menstruation so don't take if your menstrual cycle is particularly heavy.
Other traditional uses are for digestive health and regulation, nervous tension and to reduce hot flushes in menopause. It has been used for repair and restoration to the uterus and female reproductive system throughout. Linked to release of trauma in traditional folk use.
