Peruvian Quina-Quina bark
liquid extract tincture 1:5
contains 45% alcohol 100ml
Best known for its source of Quinine has been used traditionally as an anti-malaria remedy. First documented in Peru by a Jesuit missionary in 1633. Also traditionally used for digestive problems and fevers. Quinine is well researched for its antibacterial and antispasmodic effects.
The herb is extremely bitter due to the presence of Quinovin, this effect increases stomach secretions and bile flow, improving digestive function.
Used also as a remedy for cramping of all varieties traditionally and can also be used as a gargle for throat infections.
